My love of nature and art, and my desire to preserve Earth’s natural resources, have stimulated me to pursue a form of ecological art, created from scores of used magazine pages that are color sorted, hand-torn and fashioned into a nature mosaic. Culling old magazines for usable colors and textures is an ongoing process. Pulling the palette and artfully applying pieces to render a bold composition takes many hours. Recycling does not stop at the magazines - I often seek and repurpose an appropriate frame and backboard for the new Earth-friendly piece.  The results are unique and TEARriffic!

Following is a portfolio of my creative works.  If you would like to purchase an original just email me with the title and I will send you a PayPal invoice. Once the invoice is paid I will ship it via UPS.  Many of the sold originals are available in limited edition, signed giclée prints (5x7, 8x10 or 14x18), notecards or tempered glass cutting boards.   - Shelley Schenker
